The aim of the focus campaign was to check whether the legal requirements for inflatable water toys and other inflatable toys were being complied with.

31 samples from all over Austria were analysed. 12 samples were rejected (in some cases several times):

one sample due to safety deficiencies caused by detachable small parts
four samples due to incorrect labelling
ten samples due to missing or inadequate EC Declaration of Conformity

No prohibited plasticisers or plasticisers above the respective limit values were detected.
