The aim of the focus action was to test for the fragrances "Hydroxyisohexyl-3-cyclohexene carboxaldehyde (HICC, Lyral)" and "Butylphenyl methylpropional (Lilial)", which have been banned in recent years due to their allergenic or toxic potential. 59 samples from all over Austria were examined. 29 samples were rejected, in some cases several times:

• in 18 samples, unauthorized fragrances were detected: 17 with butylphenyl methylpropional, one with butylphenyl methylpropional and HICC
• eleven samples were found to have deficiencies in labeling, two of them with deficient notification.
