The aim of the priority action was to implement the national risk-based control plan for milk, eggs and honey. Extensive tests were carried out for prohibited substances, substances authorised as veterinary medicinal products such as antibiotics, agents against endo- and ectoparasites, painkillers and anti-inflammatory agents including corticosteroids, antimicrobial substances and pesticides.
569 samples from all over Austria were analysed. One sample was rejected:
- A cow's milk sample for exceeding the maximum residue limit for diclofenac, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID)
