Final report of the priority action A-702-24

The aim of the priority action was to check the information on the animal species and the hygiene status of ready-to-eat game products from the catering trade.

70 samples from all over Austria were analysed. Eleven samples were rejected:

  • Nine samples contained misleading information regarding the animal species contained in the food
  • Two samples were assessed as impaired due to microbiological contamination
